Centennial School Calendar 2017-18: First Day Of School, Vacations, Conferences

The first day of school in Centennial is September 5 for grades 1-12 and September 7 for kindergarten. Feel free to mark it on your calendar as one of the most dreaded days of the year for students and teachers — and feel free not to feel guilty about marking it as one of your favorites. The Centennial School District has released its 2017-2018 calendar for public schools.

The calendar includes important dates such as winter and spring vacations, religious holidays, federal holidays, early dismissals and parent-teacher conferences.

• 8/14: Open Window Begins for Teacher Prep
• 8/23 - 8/24: New Teacher Orientation
• 8/29 - 8/30: In-service Days
• 8/30: Kindergarten Orientation

September

• 9/4: Labor Day
• 9/5: First Day for Students Grades 1-12
• 9/5 - 9/6: Kindergarten Parent/Student Orientation Meetings
• 9/7: First Day for Kindergarten
• 9/21: No School (Rosh Hashanah)

November

• 11/7: No School for Students (In-service Day)
• 11/9: End of Marking Period
• 11/10: Early Dismissal for Students (In-service Half Day)
• 11/21: Early Dismissal for Students (Elementary Conferences)
• 11/22: No School for Students (K-12 Conferences)
• 11/23 - 11/24: No School (Thanksgiving)

December

• 12/25 - 1/1: No School (Winter Break)

January

• 1/1: No School (Winter Break)
• 1/15: No School (MLK Day)
• 1/26: End of Marking Period
• 1/29: No School for Students (In-service Day)

February

• 2/16: Early Dismissal for Students (Elementary Conferences, Secondary Professional Development)
