Christmas Grocery Store Hours In PA: Giant, Acme, More

With lots of food preparation going into many families' Christmas gatherings, you could be forgiven for realizing you've forgotten a last-minute ingredient.

But, as Christmas Day approaches on Wednesday, you might want to double-check your list. Many grocery stores will be closing early on Christmas Eve and most will be closed altogether on Christmas Day.

But, there will be some Christmas Day shopping options, too, if your cranberries, stuffing or other sides didn't make it into the cart already.

Here's a look at hours for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day 2019 for some of the most popular grocery stores in the Philadelphia area:

• Acme Markets: Most stores will have limited hours Christmas Eve. (Check here for information on your nearest location.) All stores will be closed Christmas Day.
• Aldi: All stores will be open Christmas Eve, but with limited hours. (Check the store locator for hours at your nearest location). All stores will be closed Christmas Day.
• Costco: Stores will be open 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Christmas Eve. All stores will be closed Christmas Day.
• CVS: Most stores will be open from 9 a.m.-6 p.m. on Christmas Eve. Most will be open from 10 a.m.-8 p.m. on Christmas Day, though pharmacies will be closed.
• Costco: Stores open 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Christmas Eve. All stores will be closed Christmas Day.
• Giant Food Stores: Stores close at 6 p.m. on Christmas Eve. Stores will be closed Christmas Day.
• McCaffrey's Food Markets: Open 7 a.m.-6 p.m. Christmas Eve. All stores will be closed Christmas Day.
• Redner's Warehouse Markets: Limited hours Christmas Eve. All stores will be closed Christmas Day.
• Rite-Aid: Stores will be open Christmas Even and many will be open Christmas Day. Check your location here for hours.
• Target: Stores open 7 a.m.-10 p.m. Christmas Eve. All stores will be closed Christmas Day.
• Trader Joe's: All stores will close at 6 p.m. on Christmas Eve. All stores will be closed Christmas Day.
• Walmart: Most stores close at 6 p.m. on Christmas Eve. All stores will be closed Christmas Day.
• Wegmans: All Wegmans stores will close at 6 p.m. on Christmas Eve and be closed Christmas.
• Whole Foods: Hours on Christmas Eve will vary, but all stores will have limited hours. All stores will be closed Christmas Day.
