Giada de Laurentiis Selects Warminster Girl's Recipe For New Book
The famous television chef is coming to the Yardley to promote her new book, which features the recipe of a 10-year-old Warminster girl.
Famous television chef Giada de Laurentiis is coming to the area, the Newtown Bookshop announced Tuesday.
de Laurentiis will be at the Grey Nun Academy in Yardley on May 10 to feature her new children's book "Philadelphia #8 (Recipe for Adventure)."
"Please join us as we welcome Emmy Award-winning celebrity chef Giada De Laurentiis, author of seven cookbooks as well as a bestselling children’s chapter book series, 'Recipe for Adventure' to the McKenna Center at Grey Nun Academy," the Newtown Bookshop said in an announcement on its website.

The event starts at 6:30pm.
According to the bookshop, the location of the book was selected after a nationwide contest where kids sent in their favorite family recipes and nominated their hometowns. Emma, a 10-year-old from Warminster, won the competition with her recipe for Italian pizzelles. Emma will be appearing with Giada during the event.

Seating is limited. Tickets are $11 per person and $13 per family and include a paperback copy of “Philadelphia #8 (Recipe for Adventure)”.
