Giant Donates $10,000 Toward Centennial Food Programs

The money will help buy food and delivery bags for programs that help feed students in need in the Warminster-based school district.

WARMINSTER, PA — Schools in the Centennial School District got some surprise help feeding local students in need on Wednesday.

The Giant Company donated $10,000 toward the district's efforts to address food insecurity among its students. The money will be used to buy both food and reusable bags to help transport the food to children throughout the district, Giant said.

Shoppers at the Carlisle, PA-based grocery chain will be able to help further. Through Feb. 28, Giant, Martin's and Giant Heirloom Market stores may round up grocery purchases to the nearest dollar to donate to their local public schools' food programs.
