Goodman Properties/Warrington Cares Sprint Triathlon

Takes Place on September 12 and Participants can Swim, Bike Ride & Run to Benefit Local Charities and Families in Need

The Goodman Properties/Warrington Cares Sprint Triathlon is scheduled for Sunday, September 12, 2021 with a start time of 7:00 a.m. This event begins and ends at the Mary Barness Community Pool, located at 2501 Freedoms Way, Warrington, PA 18976. The race consists of a 300-meter swim, a 10-mile bike ride and a 5K run through the streets of Warrington.

There will also be a Duathlon, which is a two-part race consisting of a 10-mile bike ride and a 2-mile run. Medals will be awarded to the top three finishers for men and women and for the top three finishers in each age category. The cost is $85 for the Triathlon and $80 for the Duathlon. The Goodman Properties/Warrington Cares Sprint Triathlon is the major fundraiser for Warrington Cares, raising over $50,000 over the past four races. Proceeds from this year’s event will help local graduates living in Warrington Township. Money will also be provided to local food banks/pantries. The Duathlon and Triathlon are ideally suited for persons starting out as tri-athletes and those who are training for major triathlons. Official timekeepers will be DQ Events.

“Our triathlon is an exciting event that brings participants back year after year,” said Barry Luber, Warrington Township Manager and President of Warrington Cares. “Last year’s event was cancelled due to the pandemic, so we are thrilled to bring it back in 2021! Whether you are an athlete or like to watch from the sidelines, we invite you to come out on September 12 to be a part of this event.”
