Inspire Yourself @ the Library

We've things to help you get inspired this season

Every writer knows the feeling of writer’s block. It happens when we stare at the blank paper (electronic or physical) and no words come. I know it’s not just a “writer’s thing” – everyone at one point or another has suffered from a lack of inspiration for something they are doing.

I think the one I’ve read about the most this past year is cooking. While some have found joy in expanding their kitchen art (bread making was very popular), I’ve talked to many people regarding the fact that they’re just burned out from trying to cook every day and make it interesting (or even edible… I’m not going to mention the dish I made and had to throw out last week, and there’s definitely a family story regarding a totally inedible meal from when I was a teenager). While take-away meals are available (and please, if you can, support your local restaurants), more folx are cooking more at home because of the pandemic, and the same old becomes, well, old.

The Library offers some amazing cookbooks to help get you out of the rut. Here’s a list of simple and easy, not-elaborate- Martha-Stewart-esque productions, available from the Library as a physical copy or as an e-Book.
