When and how did your business get started?
When the daycare I was working for was forced to close back in February, unemployment was something that my employees and I were not looking forward to.
I formed such a wonderful bond with the families at the center that I knew I had to do something to help my employees and families. Owning my own daycare was something that I always dreamed of doing.
Knowing that I had such an amazing staff, it would be easy for me to start up my own daycare. I was able to find a location thanks to one of our families, fully furnish it and have it DPW certified within two months.
We opened on February 8, 2013 with all the families from the previous daycare. Things have been going very smoothly and with our rapid enrollment we were growing outside of our current space.
On top of the rapid enrollment and some unexpected hurdles, we were forced to find a new location before even hitting one year. We started our search for a new location in September and only had until March 2014 to vacate the building. With my father's hard work and long nights searching, he found the PERFECT location. Our new center is only 1.4 miles away from the current location and EVERYTHING will be brand new.
Our expected date to move in is before March 2014. We are extremely excited to start another new journey with all of our current and new families.
What is your business best known for?
Our exceptional employees have been working together for more than two years. We are very flexible and very family based. The children love their teachers and employee turnover is extremely low. We strongly believe in close relationships with our parents. We keep our parents involved throughout their child's entire day and communicate with them daily. Parents are always updated and we are here for them whenever they need us.
