Here’s what you need to know about the Library reopening
The safety of staff and library users is of the utmost importance.
Please read more about what we’ll be doing and what we hope you’ll do, to keep everyone safe and healthy.
Placing and Picking up holds
We are offering curbside pickup beginning June 29 as an option for items placed on hold. Please click here to see just how to do this!

This service is new to you and us, and we greatly appreciate your understanding as we fine-tune this service. Be assured we’re doing everything we can to make this process as seamless as possible. We ask that you follow directions and have patience.
Please look for items online, place holds, and we will notify you when they’re ready to pick up. Beginning Monday, 6/22, you may also phone the Library at 215.672.4362 to place holds. Once we open to the public, you will be able to (quickly) browse the shelves and check out with the Library staff. Curbside will be available for the foreseeable future.

Returning Items
Items must be returned to the outside bookdrop, including museum passes, Roku sticks, and hotspots. The inside bookdrop is closed, and staff cannot take items from you. For items due while we were closed, dates were extended to August 1. For any items checked out after we reopen, normal due dates apply (please contact the Library if you're unsure about your items' due dates).
Entering the Library
Once the Library reopens our doors on July 6, occupancy will be limited to maintain social distancing. You may have to wait in line to get into the building. As the weather warms, we are encouraging you to wait on the grass in the middle of the parking lot or in your car.
- Entrance to the building will be through the meeting room (south) doors. You will exit the building through the main (lobby) doors.
- Hanging out, congregating, extended sitting, reading and homework tutoring will not be allowed at this time.
- Wearing masks is required to enter the Library (with the exception of individuals who cannot due to a medical condition and children under 2 years of age).
- Meeting rooms are not available at this time.
- Please do not bring food into the Library. You are welcome to bring drinks, but they must be in tightly lidded containers. There is a vending machine with small snacks and drinks available.
I look forward to seeing you in the Library, safely. Know that behind our masks, we're smiling at you.
