Lifelong Warminster Resident, Local Schoolteacher Passes Away At 86
Lifelong Warminster resident Dolores Kunkel, a former Grey Nun and Barclay Elementary School teacher, died Friday at the age of 86.

Dolores E. Kunkel, a lifelong resident of Warminster, passed away Friday, Oct. 14, 2016, at her home. She was 86.
Born in Warminster, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Lillian (Welsh) Kunkel. She was the beloved sister of John Kunkel and the late Mary, Regina, Loretta, Mercedes, and Joseph. She also is survived by many nieces and nephews.

Dolores was formerly a Grey Nun and enjoyed doing missionary work with Native Americans on the reservations. She was a retired school teacher from Barclay Elementary School in Warrington and a longtime member of Nativity of Our Lord Church where she served as a Eucharistic minister.
Dolores also enjoyed bowling in a local league in Warminster.

Relatives and friends will be received Thursday, Oct. 20, after 9:30 a.m. until time of her Funeral Mass at 11 a.m. in Nativity of Our Lord Church, 625 W. Street Rd., Warminster.
Interment will be in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to either the above church, or the Grey Nuns of the Sacred Heart, in Dolores' name.
