New Ranking Of Bucks Co. School Districts Released

A new ranking of Pennsylvania's best school districts has been released. See how Bucks County schools fared on the list.

BUCKS COUNTY, PA — Eight Bucks County school districts earned a rating between A+ and A- in a newly released set of rankings, with Central Bucks topping the list.

Data compiler Niche has released its ranking for the best Pennsylvania school districts for the 2020-2021 school year. In Bucks County, Central Bucks School District was followed by New Hope-Solebury in second and Council Rock in third.

To arrive at the rankings, Niche issued a letter grade in the following categories: Academics, Diversity, Teachers, College Prep, Clubs and Activities, Health and Safety, Administration, Sports, Food and Resources and Facilities.

Niche used data from the U.S. Department of Education as well as test scores, college data, and ratings collected from Niche users. (You can read more about the methodology here.)

Three Bucks County districts earned overall grades of A+. Another two got A grades and three earned A- rankings. The rest of the districts ranged from B+ to C grades.

Statewide, Central Bucks ranked 14th overall in the rankings. Radnor Township School District, in Delaware County, was ranked No. 1.
