NGA Receives Donations from Area Organizations
Warminster-based National Giving Alliance receives support of its mission to provide new clothes to homeless and low-income individuals

National Giving Alliance, formerly NGA Needlework Guild of America, received several donations from area organizations in support of its mission to provide new clothes, new toiletries and new household linens to homeless and low-income children, women and men.
Since the start of COVID-19, National Giving Alliance (NGA) has received donations from W.W. Smith Charitable Trust, Connelly Foundation, Foundations Community Partnership, Philadelphia Foundation, United Way of Greater Philadelphia and Southern New Jersey, Organnons Natural Market, and Women’s Way.
Individuals whose incomes are inadequate to meet the basic standards for food, clothing and shelter are considered to be living in poverty or are poor. The federal government provides safety net programs for food and shelter, but not for clothing. Last year, NGA distributed 103,305 items to 37,397 southeastern Pennsylvania residents. In the absence of adequate federal government programs, NGA fills the gap by providing new clothing to those living in poverty.
