PA Creates Job Portal For Workers During Coronavirus Shut Down
The online portal is updated daily and features jobs with companies that have been deemed essential and are hiring now.
HARRISBURG, PA — Pennsylvanians who are looking for work during the coronvairus shutdown can now go to a new online job portal created by the state.
The portal, from the Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry, launched Monday and features businesses that have been deemed "life-sustaining" under the state's coronavirus rules and are currently hiring.

"Many life-sustaining businesses across Pennsylvania are hiring and this new portal will help connect them with people looking for a job," said labor and industry Secretary Jerry Oleksiak. "A top priority of L&I is to provide businesses with access to the workforce they need to maintain their life-sustaining operations and help our workers find jobs, especially during this unprecedented and challenging time."
If you're looking for a job, you may visit Pennsylvania's career link page and select the green "PA COVID-19 Jobs — Hiring Immediately" banner to see active job openings. Selecting the "Apply Now" button for a listed position will take you to the employer's website or email, where you can apply directly with the business.

Life-sustaining businesses are invited to feature their job openings on the portal through an online form. Businesses must meet the criteria of a life-sustaining business and must have more than 10 job openings, state officials said.
The job portal is updated daily so businesses in need are spotlighted and people searching for employment have the latest information.
While Pennsylvania CareerLink offices across the commonwealth are physically closed to keep with state social-distancing orders, business teams are continuing to help businesses fill positions and workers find work.
