A winter weather advisory from the National Weather Service was extended to Friday afternoon, after more snow fell on eastern PA Thursday.

PHILADELPHIA, PA — Another round of snow and ice is expected in eastern Pennsylvania on Friday as the latest in a string of winter storms drags on.
A winter weather advisory for the region has been extended to 4 p.m. on Friday, the National Weather Service announced. The service is calling for mixed precipitation throughout the day, including another inch of snow and a light glaze of ice.
The advisory is for parts of southeastern Pennsylvania, as well as southwestern and central New Jersey and northern Delaware.

The weather service had planned to end its winter weather advisory at 10 a.m. Friday, as temperatures were set to rise above freezing. But, by mid-morning, they'd dipped back down to around 30 degrees in the region.
The weather service's forecast for Philadelphia called for snow and sleet likely before noon, then snow and freezing rain likely between noon and 1 p.m. There will be a chance of rain after 1 p.m., according to the forecast.

The high temperature Friday is expected to be just above freezing at 34 degrees, with a 70 percent chance of precipitation.
The weekend is forecast to be mostly clear and sunny, with high temperatures in the mid-30s. There will be another chance of snow again on Monday, according to the NWS.
Friday's forecast comes after a storm late Wednesday and Thursday dumped more than 10 inches of snow on some parts of the Philadelphia region.
Snow emergencies had been declared Thursday by local governments throughout much of the region. Speed limits on roadways were decreased, flights out of Philadelphia International Airport were delayed and government offices (including, in some cases, COVID-19 vaccination clinics) were closed to keep people off of icy roads.
