Roads Open, Power Mostly Back After Warminster Storms
The overnight storm that hit late Thursday and early Friday brought 110 m.p.h. winds, according to the National Weather Service.
WARMINSTER, PA — Almost all roadways in Warminster were open Monday morning and power had been restored to most customers after strong storms ripped through the area late Thursday and early Friday.
Warminster Township Manager Gregg Schuster said all roads were completely open Monday morning except for a blockage on Bristol Road between Old York and Log College roads. Bristol Road saw some of the heaviest damage from the overnight storm, which downed trees and power lines throughout the area.
Only 45 PECO customers remained without power Monday morning, according to Schuster, who said those outages were expected to be fixed within the day.

Meanwhile, all schools in the Centennial School District were open Monday, with power restored. Late Friday, Superintendent David Baugh had said there was a slight chance of some closures if outages that closed campuses on Friday persisted through the weekend.

Warminster was among the hardest hit areas of Bucks County when storms rumbled into the area late on Halloween night. Damage was so severe that a crew from the National Weather Service was dispatched to study whether a tornado had touched down.
In the end, the service determined that the damage was from straight-line winds that peaked at around 110 m.p.h.
On Monday, Schuster thanked all those who worked to get township services up and running after the storms.
"A lot of people worked long hours during the cleanup," Schuster wrote. "Although Warminster was one of the hardest hit areas, we were able to get things working again pretty quickly."
