​SCORE Bucks County to Offer 2 Business Workshops in December

A profitability seminar is set for Dec. 6; a Google My Business event follows on Dec. 13.

SCORE Bucks County is helping local business owners and entrepreneurs get a jumpstart on 2019 with a pair of workshops in December.

On Dec. 6 the local small business mentoring chapter will offer a 90-minute workshop, “Practical Steps to Improve Profitability.” Hosted by SCORE mentors Al Casadei and Cris Werz, the sessions will feature insight on how business owners set prices; key financial drivers influencing profit; and how to establish a profit improvement plan.

Casadei has expertise in finance, accounting, sales, marketing and business development. Werz is the owner of Bucks County based River One Property Preservation.

The following week, on Dec. 13, SCORE will offer a three-hour combo Google My Business/2019 digital marketing trends workshop. Hosted by Google representative Randi Penfil and Marsha Pearson of Market Your Socks Off, the seminar will provide hands-on learning centered on getting local businesses up and running on several Google small business apps. In her portion of the workshop, Penfil will discuss how to leverage Google Search and Maps, as well as Google My Business.

Attendees will learn how to:

· Create/claim their Google My Business Listing

· Manage their business information across Google Search and Maps

· Use Google My Business to connect with potential customers

· Create a free Website using the information from their business listing

· Update, edit and post using their listing

Pearson will provide forecasted digital marketing trends for email marketing, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Pinterest.

“Our goal with these workshops is to better prepare Bucks County business owners and entrepreneurs with insight needed for success well into the future,” SCORE Bucks County Chairman David Boster said.
