2 In PA Among Top 100 High Schools In America: U.S. News

Attending high school in the age of the new coronavirus is an experience like no other in history, but U.S. News & World Report has kept up its rankings, finding two schools in Pennsylvania among the top 100 in the nation.

"The Best High Schools rankings provide the most comprehensive, data-based information on nearly every public high school in the country," Anita Narayan, managing editor of education at U.S. News, said in a news release. "Families can use this information to see how their local schools compare on graduation rates and state assessments, as well as academic performance by students who are traditionally underserved — those who are black, Hispanic or from low-income households."

Here are the schools in Pennsylvania ranked by U.S. News in the top 100.

• Julia R. Masterman Secondary School, Philadelphia (No. 16)
• Downington STEM Academy, Downington (No. 20)

And here are the top 10 schools in the state, according to the rankings.

3. Radnor High School, Radnor
4. Conestoga High School, Berwyn
5. Central High School, Philadelphia
6. Unionville High School, Kennett Square
7. Hampton High School, Allison Park

10. Hershey High School, Hershey
