Where can you celebrate July 4 around Warminster? There are fireworks, parades, and celebrations happening in the area in honor of Independence Day, which in 2018 falls on a Wednesday.
FIREWORKS
If it's fireworks you want to see, there will be two shows at Sesame Place, 100 Sesame Rd, Langhorne. Shows are scheduled on July 3 and July 4 at 9:45 p.m., immediately following the 9 p.m. evening performance of the Neighborhood Street Party Night Parade. Entry into Sesame Place will be limited five minutes prior to the start of fireworks, according to the park. Admission fees apply. Click here for details.

Nearby, in Southampton, there will be fireworks on July 4 as part of the Southampton Days celebration. That event also features a fair, concert, and parade in the morning. Click here for more information on that event.
If you want to go into Philadelphia, there will be a fireworks show and concert in front of the Philadelphia Museum of Art on July 4 as part of Wawa's annual Welcome America Festival. The Welcome America Festival runs from Thursday, June 28 to Wednesday, July 4, with the Party on the Parkway that night from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. Click here for more information on that event.

On July 6, there will be Friday night fireworks in New Hope along the Delaware River. The show starts at 9:30 p.m. Click here for details.
PARADES
Middletown Township will host a July 4 parade. It starts at 9 a.m. with a short ceremony at the Veterans Memorial Park, 700 Veterans Hwy., Levittown. The route is from the Veterans Memorial Park on Veterans Highway to Trenton Road. The parade follows Trenton Road to Twin Oaks Park. There is no activity at Twin Oaks Park. Bleachers will be set up at the Community Center, 2140 Trenton Road, and at Statesman Health & Rehabilitation Center, 2629 Trenton Road. Businesses along the route often set up hospitality tents for people to be able to watch the parade, according to the township. Click here for more details.
There will be a parade in Lower Southampton on July 4. The parade starts at Second Street and Bustleton Pike at 1 p.m.
The New Britain parade starts at 9:30 a.m. at the Town Center Shopping Center, Rte 202, New Britain Borough. It ends at North Branch Park, 207 Park Ave, New Britain Township. The parade route will take approximately an hour to an hour and 15 minutes. Participants should be at the Town Center Shopping Center by 8:30 on July 4. Click here for details.
CELEBRATIONS
A series of events will be held from July 1 to July 4 at Washington Crossing Historic Park, including a car show, a free concert, and a reading of the Declaration of Independence. Click here for more details
Font Hill's Old-Fashioned 4th of July Celebration will be held in Doylestown from noon to 4 p.m. The day features old fashioned games, food, entertainment and more. There will be watermelon eating contests, sack races, tug-o-war, bucket brigade relays, town ball (19th century baseball) and the popular cakewalk. The event kicks off with the Children’s Decorated Bike Parade at 12:30 p.m. Admission is $5 for adults ($3 if you're a member). Kids 15 and under are free. Click here for more details.
