Warminster Recreation Rolls Out Summer Programming
Summertime offerings include archery courses, skateboarding classes and even an Easter in July egg hunt.
WARMINSTER, PA — Warmer weather is returning to the area as summer nears, meaning most people are probably getting antsy to go outside. And with summer break just around the corner, parents are sure to be looking for activities for their kids to take part in this summer.
Luckily, Warminster Township Parks & Recreation on Monday rolled out its roster of summer programming for kids, families and even adults.
Among the summertime offerings are archery courses, skateboarding classes, science camps, outdoor geocaching adventures, arts engagements and an Easter in July egg hunt.

Exploring Archery classes, via Shooting Star Archery Academy, offers all-equipment-included classes that last 45. Classes are held outdoors at WCP on Wednesday and cost $135.
Archery classes will be held every six weeks from May 26 to October 6. More information is available on Shooting Star’s website.

Weekend skateboarding classes will also be offered between June 6 and July 11, according to the parks and recreation department. Classes are for kids between the ages of 6 and 13. Parents can register their kids online.
A weeklong skateboard camp will also be held between July 6 and 9 for kids between ages 6 and 13. Registration can be completed online.
Throughout the summer, the parks and recreation department will also offer Mad Science Summer Camps, which are offered from 9 a.m. to noon for students between the ages of 7 and 12. Camps cost $175 each.
From June 14 to 18, classes will focus on a Physicians Academy theme. From June 28 to July 2, classes will cover the topic of All New NASA, and form July 19 to July 23, classes will cover Red Hot Robotics. Families can register their kids online.
Mad Science Summer Camp will also present a Crayola Artists Passport camp from August 16 to 20. During the $175 camp, students will meet outside the Hallowell Pavilion and learn about cultures around the world.
Another way for students to get outside and learn about nature are GeoVentures Summer Camps, which teach kids about geocaching. A Jedi Academy camp runs from July 12 to 16, and a Geocaching camp runs from August 2 to 6. Registration is available online.
It turns out it’s never too late to celebrate Easter, at least when plans were thwarted by the pandemic. The Annual Warminster Egg Scramble will be held July 16 this year at 4:30 p.m. at WCP. Registration opens June 14, as attendance is limited to 500 children.
