Warminster Township Offering Free Bicycle Safety Checks Saturday
Whether you're bicycling to commute, exercise or just for fun, Warminster Township officials want to make sure your bike is safe to ride.
WARMINSTER, PA — Whether you're bicycling to commute, exercise or just for fun, Warminster Township officials want to make sure your bicycle is safe to ride.
Warminster Community Park, located at 1100 Veterans Way, will offer free bicycle safety checks on Saturday, May 22 from 9 a.m. to noon.
Checking your bicycle before each ride helps to minimize the risk of having an accident. Here are some tips from the National Safety Council:

- Make sure the seat is adjusted to the proper height and locked in place
- Make certain all parts are secure and working properly
- Check that the tires are inflated properly
- Make sure the bike is equipped with reflectors on the rear, front, pedals and spokes
- A horn or bell, a rear-view mirror and a bright headlight also are recommended
