It's been a tough year for our restaurants, so Patch wanted to take the time here to give a nod to your favorites. Here are the bars and restaurants that rose to the top, according to Patch readers:

Eagle Diner

Comment: The food is great and the soup and salad bar is even better.

Yum Yum Donuts
Address: 500 W. Street Rd.
Comment: Best donuts, best coffee and, most importantly, best staff!

Nick's Deli
Address: 539 York Rd.
Comment: For the best bang for your buck, you have to go to Nick's. From the minute you walk in the door you are greeted by a very friendly staff who will prepare you a fantastic lunch.

Bullard's American Cafe
Address: 547 York Rd.
Comment: Great food and service. They have been incredibly innovative adapting to the pandemic and managing to thrive through all the restrictions.

Altomonte's
Address: 85 N. York Rd.
Comment: They have wonderful fresh food. Their family feasts are delicious. During the pandemic, I used their curbside pickup many times for groceries and catering. I bought my fresh Thanksgiving turkey from them also.

Oven Brothers

Comment: Great food, friendly employees and they have the best rolls.

Country House Diner

Comment: Pricing and food is very good.

Augusto's of Madison

Comment: This little gem of a restaurant is absolutely our favorite. The menu is diverse to please anyone’s taste. Everything is delicious and we always start with lobster bisque/ Augusto is a gracious host and the employees are top notch, treating everyone as a special guest.
