What's happening at the Warminster Library?

I know that we’re all very excited to move to the Yellow Phase. This has been a long several months for everyone, and I hope that everyone has stayed safe and healthy.

I want to give you an update on where we are with Library services and reopening the Warminster Library. If you have questions or comments, please feel free to email or phone me: reedt@buckslib.org or 267.317.1335.

The Warminster Library works not only under the guidelines and policies of the Township of Warminster, but also with the other Libraries in Bucks County and the State Library (the Office of Commonwealth Libraries, or OCL). The safety of our staff and library users is our greatest priority, so during each stage of services resumption, we will evaluate and make changes if necessary.

The first stage of our reopening will be to have curbside service for limited hours. You will be able to place holds (either via the online catalog or by phone 215.462.4362) and when you’re notified that your items are available, you can call and we will have your items ready for you with contactless curbside pickup. While I don’t have an exact date to start this, it will be within the next several weeks. When we’re ready to go, I will most definitely send out email as well as post to our social media and our website. So stay tuned for that. After that, we will open our doors for limited services inside the building.

The world is fundamentally changed, especially for the foreseeable future. This is a long haul, and while I would love to open our doors and have everything back to the way is was; it’s just not the way it is. It wouldn’t be safe; it wouldn’t be smart. And as I stated above, the safety and health of the Library staff and our users is paramount. So we will do this safely, slowly and deliberately.
