Winds Close Street Road, Knock Out Power In Warminster (ICYMI)

The National Weather Service was predicting gusts up to 60 mph Monday and more than 11,700 Bucks County homes were without power.

WARMINSTER, PA — The heavy winds that blasted the area Sunday night into Monday caused a busy Warminster road to be shut down and knocked out power at spots including the municipal building.

Street Road, between York Road and Means Road, was shut down Monday morning due to a pole that was in danger of falling, according to township Manager Gregg Schuster.

Schuster also reported late Monday morning that the main power to the township and police building was knocked out, but was operating on a generator.
