Chesco Nor'easter Updates: More Than A Foot Of Snow In Some Areas

Snow accumulations across Chester County varied from 13 inches to 4 inches by Tuesday morning as a nor'easter dwindles into Tuesday.

CHESTER COUNTY, PA — Sections of northwestern Chester County saw more than 13 inches of snow overnight as the National Weather Service continues to gather reports of accumulations in the storm that began Sunday and is still dropping precipitation on Tuesday morning.

These are the most recent updates from the National Weather Service of snow accumulations across Chester County, given on Tuesday morning:

  • East Nantmeal Township 13.6 inches reported at 12:03 a.m. Feb. 2
  • Pughtown 11.2 inches reported at 9:15 a.m. on Feb. 1
  • East Coventry Township 10.6 inches reported at 11:50 p.m. on Feb. 2
  • Valley Forge 10.2 inches at 8 p.m. on Feb. 1
  • Glenmoore 8.3 inches at 8:51 p.m on Feb. 1
  • Uwchlan Township 8.0 inches at 9:20 p.m. on Feb. 1
  • West Caln Township 8.0 inches at 5 a.m. on Feb. 2
  • West Chester 4.5 inches at 10:28 p.m. on Feb. 1

In Delaware County, the National Weather Service reported:

  • Broomall 6.4 inches at 11:58 p.m. on Feb. 2
  • Upper Darby 6.0 inches at 7 p.m. on Feb. 1
  • Glen Mills 5.0 inches at 11:07 p.m. on Feb. 1

PECO reported a power outage in the Downingtown area Tuesday morning due to downed trees and limbs. PECO said the outage was affecting eight customers.

PennDOT said this morning that speed limit restrictions remained in place today on the U.S. 30 Bypass and U.S. 422, but those were lifted around 10 a.m. Speeds have also been restored on the following roadways:
