Chester County's Festival of Flight Air and Car Show Returning This Month

The annual Festival of Flight Air and Car Show will be returning to Chester County on Aug. 22 and 23.

The annual Festival of Flight Air and Car Show will be returning to Chester County on Aug. 22 and 23, offering a weekend of aerial acrobatics, beautifully restored cars and a collection of food and craft vendors.

The event, held at the New Gard Flying Field in Toughkenamon, will run from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. each day.

  • 9 a.m.: Airshow gates open
  • 9:30: Airshow pilot briefing
  • 11:30: Airspace closes
  • 11:45: Opening ceremonies
  • 11:50: National Anthem
  • 11:55: Warbird flight (PTs, L Birds)
  • 12:10: Jason Flood Pitts Aerobatics
  • 12:25: Warbird flight (SNJs, T-6s)
  • 12:40: Kevin Russo SNJ Aerobatics
  • 12:55: RC Modelers
  • 1:10: Greg Koontz Flying Farmer, truck top landing routine
  • 1:30: Matt Chapman CAP 580 aerobatics
  • 1:45: Matt Chapman formation flying with Mini Matt and Dave Malchione
  • 1:55: Mark Murphy P-51 Mustang demonstration
