More Nighttime Lane Closures Planned for Route 202
There will also be daytime travel restrictions on Route 401.

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced Friday there will be lane closures on Route 202 in Tredyffrin and East Whiteland townships as work continues on two projects, including the installation of a third lane in both directions.
The closures will take place from April 21 to 25 between Swedesford Road Interchange and Route 30. There will also be travel restrictions on Route 401 (Conestoga Road) from April 22 to 27.

The contractors’ schedules for the upcoming week are:
- On Sunday through Thursday (April 21-25), northbound Route 202 will be reduced from two lanes to one between Route 30 and Route 401 in East Whiteland Township from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following morning; and
- On Monday (April 22), northbound Route 202 will be reduced from two lanes to one between Route 29 and the Cedar Hollow Road overpass in East Whiteland and Tredyffrin townships from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following morning.
In addition, Route 202’s northbound off-ramp and the on-ramps at the Route 401 Interchange in East Whiteland Township will be closed and detoured Sunday through Thursday (April 21-25) from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. for drainage pipe installations. The Route 401 ramps to Route 202 will not be closed simultaneously during any nighttime operation.
Drainage pipe work also will close and detour the southbound Route 202 off-ramp to Route 401 on Monday through Thursday (April 22-25) from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m.

During the overnight ramp closures, motorists are advised to follow the posted detours. The ramp detours are:
- Route 202 North off-ramp to Route 401: Northbound Route 202 motorists will exit at the Route 30/Frazer off-ramp and travel east on Route 30 (Lancaster Avenue) to the intersection of Route 401 and then turn left on Route 401;
- Route 202 South off-Ramp to Route 401: Southbound Route 202 motorists will exit at the Route 29/Great Valley off-ramp, then turn left on Swedesford Road and follow it to Route 401;
- Route 401 on-ramp to Route 202 North: Route 401 motorists will continue east to Swedesford Road, turn left on Swedesford Road to Route 29, turn right on Route 29, then turn left on Matthews Road to the Route 202 north on-ramp; and
- Route 401 on-ramp to Route 202 South: Route 401 motorists will detour north on Route 202 to the Route 29/Great Valley exit at Matthews Road, turn right on Matthews Road to Route 29, turn right on Route 29 to Swedesford Road, then turn right on Swedesford Road to the ramp to Route 202 South.
On Route 401, lane closures will occur between Moores Road and Mill Lane on Monday through Friday (April 22-26) from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. the following morning, and on Saturday (Apr. 27) from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. for utility installations and bridge construction.
