Nighttime Lane Closures Planned for Route 202
Road work will take place March 24 to 28, mostly between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m., as a highway expansion project proceeds.

PennDOT announced Friday that it would be closing lanes on Route 202 in East Whiteland and Tredyffrin townships during nighttime hours from Sunday, March 24, to Thursday, March 28.
The construction will take place at several locations in both directions of the highway, according to the PennDOT press release (dates have been bolded).Â

Northbound Route 202 will be reduced to a single lane between the U.S. Route 30/Exton Bypass and the Route 29 interchanges in East Whiteland and Tredyffrin townships, Chester County, on Sunday through Thursday (Mar. 24-28) from 9 p.m. each evening until 5 a.m. the following morning for pavement saw-cutting.
Southbound Route 202 will be reduced to a single lane between the Route 29 and Route 401 interchanges in East Whiteland and Tredyffrin townships on Monday and Tuesday (Mar. 25-26) from 9 p.m. each evening until 5 a.m. the following morning installation of conduit.
In addition, motorists will find slow moving traffic in both directions on Route 202 between the Route 401 and Route 30 interchanges in East Whiteland Township from 9 p.m. Sunday until 5 a.m. Monday (March 25) for a moving pavement surveying operation.
[D]rivers on Route 202 will find a northbound lane closure in place from 9 p.m. Wednesday until 5 a.m. Thursday (Mar. 27-28) at the Route 3/West Chester Pike interchange in West Goshen Township, Chester County, for installation of Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) components.
And on Thursday (Mar. 28), PennDOT will be conducting drilling and soil testing operations for construction of a proposed Dynamic Message Sign in the median near the intersection of Route 202 and Mall Blvd. in Upper Merion Township, Montgomery County, between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m.
The work is part of two ongoing contracts to widen and reconstruct the expressway from south of the Chesterbrook Interchange in Tredyffrin Township to the Route 30/Exton Bypass Interchange in East Whiteland Township.
