Phase 1B Vax Appointments Open In Chesco; Not Merely Registration
Frustrated people who've waited their turn for a vaccine appointment — not just registration — are now getting appointments in Chesco.

CHESTER COUNTY, PA — More than 24,000 appointments — not just registration — are finally opening to people in Phase 1B for COVD-19 vaccinations, Chester County announced Monday.
Chester County Health Department said on Monday it had sent an email to 24,202 people registered in Phase 1B with the Health Department, giving them access to schedule vaccine appointments. The email also asked them to cancel their registration if they no longer need the vaccine.

- Chester County Government Services Center in West Chester
- West Chester University’s Sturzebecker Health Sciences Center
- Jennersville YMCA (replaces the Kennett Square Red Clay Room)
- Kimberton Fire Company
- Brandywine YMCA in Coatesville
- Three clinics for seniors at the Phoenixville Senior Center, the Brandywine Valley Active Aging Center (formerly Coatesville Senior Center), and the Oxford Area Senior Center.
Amid the upsurge, Chester County continues its COVID-19 vaccine rollout as supply permits. As of April 1, DOH reported 83,802 people in Chester County have been partially vaccinated, and 76,879 have been fully vaccinated with Moderna and Pfizer vaccines.
In all 160,681 in Chesco have received at least a first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine; that number includes 40,035 who've been partially vaccinated by the Chester County Health Department and 22,300 people who've been fully vaccinated by the county health department.

More than 11,000 teachers and educational staff in Chester County have received the Johnson & Johnson single-dose vaccine, Chester County Health Department reported on April 1.
Chester County reported it received 23,820 doses of vaccine from the state in the last week, countywide, with 7,340 of those — just over one-third of the doses — sent to the Chester County Health Department. The county health department allotment of doses from the state was comprised of 5,000 Moderna doses and 2,340 Pfizer doses.
A Pennsylvania state government COVID-19 data report showed as of April 5, 15.7 percent of Chester County's population had been fully vaccinated and 175 percent are partially vaccinated.
