Police Arrest One in DUI Crash

The following information is provided by the West Chester Police Department.

West Chester police arrested a Havertown man after he allegedly crashed drove under the influence and crashed his car into two telephone poles, according to a report from the department.

Police say they responded to a one-vehicle accident on the 600 block of E Market Street at approximately 4 a.m. On Nov 1. According to reports, police determined that the car had veered off the road and had struck two telephone poles before coming to a stop.

Police reportedly asked the drive, a 25-year-old Havertown man, to participate in field sobriety tests, which he reportedly failed. Police arrested the man on suspicion of driving under the influence and was sent to Chester County Hospital for blood work. A summons for DUI and careless driving is pending.
