Power Coming Back On For Many, Not All
Wednesday afternoon, PECO reported 24 percent of Chester County was still without power, but that was down from 30 percent in the morning.
CHESTER COUNTY, PA — A running tabulator of PECO customers without power fluctuated through the day Wednesday, as power was restored to some, others waited, and still others finally got through to report their outage, driving numbers up and down.
As the day began and 30 percent of Chester County had no power, crews had that number down to 20 percent by mid-afternoon. The 65,000 Chesco PECO customers without power at 9 a.m. were reduced to 45,000 in early afternoon, but then the number rose to 47,000 by 3:30 p.m.
Just before 5 p.m. PECO reported just over 53,000 affected customers in Chester County. That put the percentage without power back up to 24 percent.
