Shoe Thieves Threaten To Blow Up Famous Footwear: Police

West Whiteland Township Police said two shoe thieves threatened to blow up a Famous Footwear store and shoot an employee as they took shoes.

WEST WHITELAND TOWNSHIP, PA — When an employee of Famous Footwear saw a man stealing shoes and asked him to put them back, the man allegedly told the worker he had a gun and threatened to shoot the worker and "blow up the store," police reported.

West Whiteland Township police said the incident happened on May 1 at a township retailer. According to a police report, a man and woman in Famous Footwear in Exton allegedly were attempting to steal shoes there. The man was allegedly hiding shoes on his person when a store employee spotted the attempt to steal the shoes, police said.

"An observant employee approached the male and asked him to return the shoes he had concealed on his person," the police report read.
