Snow Expected For Friday Commute In Chester County

Some snow could fall Friday afternoon and cause a slippery evening commute, forecasters are warning. The National Weather Service has issued a Hazardous Weather Outlook for Eastern Pennsylvania, saying light snow is possible this afternoon and evening.

The Hazardous Weather Outlook covers Bucks, Chester and Montgomery counties. Delaware County and Philadelphia are under a Winter Weather Advisory. One to three inches of snow could accumulate.

The snow is expected to start later in the afternoon, around 1 or 2 p.m., the Weather Channel estimates. It should stop falling around 7 p.m.

Today: Snow, mainly after 4pm. High near 31. Light and variable wind. Chance of precipitation is 80%. Total daytime snow accumulation of 1 to 2 inches possible.

Tonight: Snow likely, mainly before 9pm. Cloudy during the early evening, then gradual clearing, with a low around 25. Light northwest wind becoming west 5 to 10 mph in the evening. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New snow accumulation of less than one inch possible.

Saturday: Increasing clouds, with a high near 39. West wind 8 to 13 mph.

Saturday Night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 27. West wind 5 to 7 mph becoming calm in the evening.

Sunday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 42. Calm wind.

Sunday Night: A slight chance of rain after 8pm. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 34. Chance of precipitation is 20%.

Monday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 50.
