Police have charged three Delaware men in connection to gun shots fired within the borough earlier this month.

West Chester police have charged three Delaware men in connection to gun shots fired within the borough earlier this month.
Authorities have charged Malvin Colon-Cardona, 18, of Bear; Melvin Colon-Cardona, 21, of New Castle; and Dru L. Thompson, 27, of Newark; with aggravated assault, firearms violations, fleeing and eluding and recklessly endangering another person.
All three have been lodged in Chester County Prison.

According to police, the shooting occurred in the early morning hours of Aug. 8, when officers reportedly heard gunshots on the 50 block of South High Street. Officers located a vehicle they believed to be involved in the shooting, and a chase ensued into West Whiteland Township, where the suspects fled the car.
“After an extensive search of the area, three subjects were taken into custody,” police said.
