West Chester Schools Dismissing Early Due To Weather Forecast

The West Chester Area School District will dismiss early on Monday due to the expected wintry weather.

WEST CHESTER, PA — The West Chester Area School District will dismiss an hour early on Monday due to the expected wintry weather.

Freezing rain that could possibly turn to snow, and which will likely lead to icy, treacherous conditions on the roads, is set to hit the region later this afternoon, potentially before 4 p.m.

The West Chester School Board meeting will take place as scheduled at 7 p.m.

Schools will dismiss at the following times Monday:

  • High schools and Fugett Middle School: 1:15 p.m.
  • Perice and Stetson Middle Schools: 1:50 p.m.
  • East Goshen, East Bradford, Glen Acres, Exton: 2:10 p.m.
  • Fern Hill, Hillsdale, Mary C. Howse, Penn Wood, Starkweather, Westtown-Thornbury: 2:40 p.m.

A Child's Place will not operate Monday, and all other after school and evening activities in the district (other than the school board meeting) have been canceled.
