While the government institutions of the state and the borough are taking the day off in observance of Veterans Day Monday, many area businesses will be open and operating their usual hours on Nov 11.

The best bet is to call ahead if you’re looking for a specific store’s hours, but here are some businesses who are open Veterans Day:

• Acme of West Chester will be open for its normal business hours, 7 a.m. to 11 p.m.

• ShopRite of West Chester will be open for its normal business hours, 7 a.m. to 11 p.m.

• Giant of West Chester will be open for its normal business hours, 6 a.m. to 12 a.m.

• West Chester’s state liquor stores will be open for normal business hours, but call ahead as some stores might change their hours in observance of the holiday.
