CHESTER COUNTY, PA — Winds as high as 54 miles per hour were clocked in Chester County during the recent weather front, according to the National Weather Service.
That precise reading was made in West Coatesville at around 7:04 p.m. on Sunday night.
In southeastern Pennsylvania, the highest recored wind gusts were at 59 miles per hour, over in Lenhartsville, Berks County, just a few hours later Sunday night.

The gusts were powerful enough to knock part of a wall down at a winery in Phoenixville, and to rip a roof off a business in King of Prussia.

Power outages impacted thousands of local residents, even forcing a few schools to close early.
Downed wires and trees also brought additional traffic and widespread road closures.
