After Several Sightings, Bear Captured In Bucks Co.

A bear has been captured after multiple sightings in Yardley, Lower Makefield and Falls Township on Monday and Tuesday.

YARDLEY, PA — A bear has been captured after multiple sightings in Yardley, Lower Makefield and Falls Township on Monday and Tuesday.

Falls Township Police said that the Game Commission set up a trap with doughnuts. And overnight, those doughnuts were enough to entice the bear.

Game Commission representatives returned and are safely transporting the bear, Falls Township Police said in a Wednesday morning update.

According to a video by Action News, a bear was seen moving through backyards in Yardley on Monday. The bear was also seen in the area of Dolington Road and Quarry Commons Drive, the report said.

On Tuesday, Falls Township police said there were multiple reports of a bear sighting in the area.

Several witnesses reported seeing the bear in the area of Makefield Turn and Lincoln Highway. Game Commission representatives responded Tuesday.
