3,000 In The Dark Following Warren Power Outage
Thousands of Warren residents are without power on a particularly hot and humid night.
WARREN, RI — Thousands of Rhode Islanders are in the dark Sunday night following a massive power outage across much of Warren. National Grid reported two outages in the area, which affected more than 3,100 customers. Power is projected to be restored before midnight.
The outage was caused by a large tree that fell on a power line at the town's bike path around 6 p.m., National Grid said.

The main outage affected 2,500 people and was resolved around 10 p.m. The second, smaller outage affected approximately 500 others. Power was restored to all residents during the overnight hours.
