Bristol Expands Business Eligibility For Propane Assistance Program

BRISTOL, RI– On Friday, January 22nd, 2021, the Town of Bristol announced that it was expanding its propane fuel assistance program to all Bristol businesses that have outdoor patio or tent heaters.

Beginning Thursday, January 28th, 2021, eligible businesses will be able to receive free propane fuel from Sunshine Fuels & Energy Services on a limited basis.

Every Thursday, businesses can bring their tanks to Sunshine’s Bristol location (374 Metacom Avenue, Bristol, RI 02809) during their regular business hours to get them refilled.

Please Note: Refills are limited to once per week per business. A maximum of ten (10) propane tanks can be refilled at a time per business.

This service will be offered until the credit at Sunshine Fuel has been depleted.

This program was funded through the State of Rhode Island’s Take It Outside initiative.
