Bristol Police Dept. Announces New Citizen Initiative Campaigns
One of the programs will assist residents who may have children with autism or intellectual impairments.

BRISTOL, RI - In an effort to continue fostering a good working relationship with its residents, the Bristol Police department announced Friday the roll out of a few new citizen initiative campaigns.
One of the programs will assist residents who may have children with autism or intellectual impairments. The goal of the program is to help officers minimize the possibility of creating distress for children and create a positive interaction with the police. Parents can register their children at this link.
The department's other campaign initiative will assist elderly people who may have been diagnosed with Alzheimer's or dementia. This initiative will assist police with locating missing seniors living with Alzheimer's or dementia should they get lost. Family members can register their loved one at this link.
Additionally, police are reminding residents that the Bristol Police Department has a medication disposal receptacle located in the lobby of the police department. This device has been available to our residents since 2013.
