Bristol Primary Results 2020: Mail Ballots Results Are In
Incumbents Aaron Ley, Timothy Sweeney and Nathan Calouro were among the five who moved forward to the general election.

BRISTOL, RI — The results are in for Rhode Island's primary election, and incumbents Aaron Ley and Timothy Sweeney led the pack in the race for the Town Council.
On election night, the Rhode Island Board of Elections posted unofficial results based on in-person ballots cast at the polls. Thursday evening, the department updated results to include mail ballot counts. Bristol's results are available online, with vote counts broken down by mail, in-person and emergency ballots.
The five top candidates, which include the three incumbents — Ley, Sweeney and Nathan Calouro — will go on to face Republican Mary Parella and independent Tony Teixiera in November's general election. Parella has served as a town councilor since 2004, while Teixiera will vie for a second term. The top five vote-getters in November will be elected to the Bristol Town Council.
