Does the Safe Way Wind Turbine Bother You?

Neighbors to the Gooding Avenue auto shop recently spoke out about noise they say is coming from its wind turbine.

A local auto shop's wind turbine had several neighbors telling the Bristol Town Council about noise problems.

At the Sept. 18 council session, residents near Safe Way Auto Center on Gooding Avenue said they've been bothered by a constant buzzing sound from the 110-ft.-tall structure, ecoRINews reported.

Bristol Police reported that a neighbor complained about the noise on Sept. 16 at about 9 p.m., one of many recent reports about the turbine. Officers in that case recorded a 51-decibel reading, not loud enough to violate town noise rules.

Tell Us: Do you live near the Safe Way wind turbine? What do you think could be done to lessen the noise?
