Safely dispose of household hazardous waste such as paint, used motor oil and more.
WARREN, RI — Looking to get rid of household hazardous waste? Bristol and Warren residents can make an appointment to dispose of paint, used motor oil and more at an eco-depot this Saturday.
The event will be held at the Warren Department of Public Works at 21 Birch Swamp Road from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. All Rhode Island residents are welcome, and appointments are encouraged to reduce wait times. Appointments can be scheduled online or by calling 401-942-1430 ext. 241.
The following items will be accepted.

- Fluorescent light bulbs
- gasoline
- oil-based paint
- disinfectant
- used motor oil
- lawn and propane tanks
Since 2001, the eco-depot program has provided a free way for Rhode Islanders to properly dispose of household hazardous waste. When improperly disposed of, these substances can damage the environment and contaminate the state's waterways.
