Extreme Heat: Cooling Centers Open In Bristol-Warren
Here's where to cool off in Bristol and Warren.
BRISTOL-WARREN, RI — Rhode Island is in the midst of a heat wave, with feel-like temperatures in the triple digits and high humidity. A heat advisory is in place across the state, and an air quality alert was issued for Washington and Newport Counties Monday.
Here's a list of cooling centers in Bristol and Warren.
Bristol:
- Quinta-Gamelin Recreation Center: 101 Asylum Rd
- Mon - Fri: 8 AM - 6 PM
- Sat & Sun: 8 AM - 8 PM
Warren:
- Andreozzi Hall: 20 Libby Ln
- Mon - Thurs: 10 AM - 8 PM
- Fri: 10 AM - 5 PM
- Sat: 10 AM - 3 PM
- Will only be used as a cooling center during a power outage
