Extreme Heat: Cooling Centers Open In Bristol-Warren

Here's where to cool off in Bristol and Warren.

BRISTOL-WARREN, RI — Rhode Island is in the midst of a heat wave, with feel-like temperatures in the triple digits and high humidity. A heat advisory is in place across the state, and an air quality alert was issued for Washington and Newport Counties Monday.

Here's a list of cooling centers in Bristol and Warren.

Bristol:

  • Quinta-Gamelin Recreation Center: 101 Asylum Rd
    • Mon - Fri: 8 AM - 6 PM
    • Sat & Sun: 8 AM - 8 PM

Warren:

  • Andreozzi Hall: 20 Libby Ln
    • Mon - Thurs: 10 AM - 8 PM
    • Fri: 10 AM - 5 PM
    • Sat: 10 AM - 3 PM
    • Will only be used as a cooling center during a power outage
