Flames Engulf Two Cars On Roger Williams University Campus
A university spokesperson said that three cars in total were involved and no injuries were reported.
BRISTOL, R.I. -- Two cars were destroyed by a fire in a Roger Williams University parking lot Monday afternoon.
According to Bristol Police, a student attempted to start their car around 2 p.m. Monday when the engine burst into flames, fully engulfing the vehicle and spreading to a second.
University spokesperson Ed Fitzpatrick said that a third vehicle belonging to a faculty member also sustained minor damage in the incident.

A video posted on Twitter shows a massive ball of fire engulfing the vehicles, with a plume of thick black smoke rising high into the air above it.
No injuries were reported and the incident is being investigated by the Bristol Police Department.
