How Bristol-Warren Voted In The March 2 Special Election
All seven of the statewide budget questions were approved by Rhode Island voters.

BRISTOL-WARREN, RI — Rhode Island voters went to the polls Tuesday to cast their ballots concerning seven statewide budget questions. All seven questions were approved.
In Bristol and Warren, voters followed the statewide trend by approving all seven questions. A breakdown of votes by question and type is listed below.
Question One
$107.3 million for higher education, including $57.3 million for a fine arts center at URI, $38 million for the Clarke Science Building at RIC and $12 million to renovate CCRI's campuses.

Bristol
- Approve: 1,429 votes, 57.5 percent
- Reject: 1,056 votes, 42.5 percent

- Approve: 722 votes, 55.3 percent
- Reject: 583 votes, 44.7 percent
Question Two
$74 million for environment and recreational projects, a total of $10 million over the governor's original proposal.
Bristol
- Approve: 1,959 votes, 78.7 percent
- Reject: 530 votes, 21.3 percent
Warren
- Approve: 1,004 votes, 77.5 percent
- Reject: 291 votes, 22.5 percent
Question Three
$65 million for affordable housing, an increase of $40 million over the original proposal, included in the amendment offered by the governor in July.
Bristol
- Approve: 1,660 votes, 66.8 percent
- Reject:

- Approve: 844 votes, 65.1 percent
- Reject: 453 votes, 34.9 percent
Question Four
$71.7 million for transportation initiatives.
Bristol
- Approve: 2,109 votes, 84.5 percent
- Reject: 388 votes, 15.5 percent
Warren
- Approve: 1,069 votes, 81.9 percent
- Reject: 237 votes, 18.1 percent
Question Five
$15 million for early childhood care and the educational capital fund.
Bristol
- Approve: 1,668 votes, 67.2 percent
- Reject:

- Approve: 883 votes, 68 percent
- Reject: 416 votes, 32 percent
Question Six
$7 million for arts and cultural infrastructure, including $6 million for the cultural arts and economy grant program, and $1 million for the state preservation grants program.
Bristol
- Approve: 1,525 votes, 61.4 percent
- Reject: 959 votes, 38.6 percent
Warren
- Approve: 762 votes, 58.6 percent
- Reject: 538 votes, 41.1 percent
Question Seven
$60 million for commerce infrastructure, including $20 million for the Port of Davisville at Quonset and $40 million for industrial site development.
Bristol
- Approve: 1,495 votes, 60.2 percent
- Reject: 987 votes, 39.8 percent
Warren
- Approve: 729 votes, 56.2 percent
- Reject: 568 votes, 43.8 percent
