'New England Living' TV Show Shines Spotlight on Bristol
The TV show's first episode aired April 2, and the Bristol segment will be on Boston's Channel 4 on April 30.

BRISTOL, RI — Kim Hersom is the personal chef at 'Penmarch' in Bristol. A week from Sunday, everybody can watch her and TV host Parker Kelly cook up a meal for the homeowners and experience a bit of their lifestyle when New England Living TV, a new program airing on Channel 4 Boston on Sundays at 11:30, features Bristol.
The show, which has an office in Portsmouth, is traveling to 13 destinations this season. The locations range from Chatham, Massachusetts, to Camden, Maine.
The Bristol episode centers around a home called Penmarch, named after a town in Brittany, France where the homeowner sailed as a youth. The homeowner's friend and personal chef Kim Hersom is featured, along with an electric bike ride in Colt State Park, a profile of the local bakery, Beehive Pantry, and an interview with award-winning architect David Andreozzi.

According to the producers, each half-hour episode of New England Living TV will focus on the things that matter most to everyone – family, friends, good food and, of course, home. Every show takes the viewer to a quintessential New England town, showcases a beautiful home and introduces the players who helped create it. Since the kitchen is the heart of the home, guests are invited to a dinner party and Kelley cooks up a meal in the kitchen with a local chef. “It’s a formula that hasn’t been done before and we’re excited to lead the way,” said veteran film director and co-producer Gene Allen.
The TV show also has a print companion, New England Living magazine, and a website, NewEnglandLiving.TV. They launched in March. The Sunday broadcasts on WBZ-TV just started April 2.
