Obituary: Carolyn (Miranda) Morrison, 96

Mrs. Carolyn (Miranda) Morrison, age 96 of Williams Street, Bristol, died Sunday, January 3, 2016 at the Crestwood Nursing Home, Warren. She was the wife of the late Gordon M. Morrison, who preceded her in death in January of 2003.

Born in Bristol and a lifelong resident, she was a daughter of the late Ricardo and Deolinda (Medeiros) Miranda. Carolyn was a graduate of Colt Memorial High School, Bristol, Class of 1937. She was a seamstress in the textile industries around Bristol for many years. Carolyn was a communicant of St. Elizabeth’s Church, Bristol. She is survived by a daughter, Laurie Ann Morrison, a granddaughter, Sara Morrison, both of Bristol and several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

She was preceded in death in addition to her husband and parents, by a son, Gordon M. Morrison, a sister Mary Ann “Marwee” Miranda, and three brothers, Anthony, John and Richard Miranda. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Funeral service, Saturday, January 9, 2016 at 11:00 AM in Sansone Funeral Home, 192 Wood Street, Bristol. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Chestnut Street, Bristol. Visitation will be Saturday morning preceding the service from 10:00 AM.
