Obituary: Diana T. (Sekulski) Grabowski, 82

Mrs. Diana T. (Sekulski) Grabowski, age 82 of 4 Church Cove Road, Bristol, died Thursday, December 17, 2015 at the Philip Hulitar Hospice Inpatient Center, Providence, surrounded by her loving family.

She was the wife of the late Alfred E. Grabowski, her husband of 47 years who preceded her in death in 2002.

Born in Warsaw, Poland and raised in Staten Island, NY, she was a daughter of the late John and Helen (Brudzinski) Sekulski.

A resident of Bristol for 20 years, she previously resided for many years in Brentwood, New York. Diana was an Elementary School Teacher for 33 years in the Brentwood, NY Public School System, retiring in 1989. A communicant of St. Mary’s Church, Bristol, Diana enjoy spending time with family and friends, reading and bus trips to Foxwoods.

She is survived by two children, Paul A. Grabowski (Beth) of Arlington Heights, IL, Kathleen A. Ferreira (Gabe) of Bristol, three grandsons, Alex Grabowski of Chicago, IL and Christopher and Matthew Ferreira, both of Bristol and a brother, Theodore Sekulski of Staten Island, New York.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Walters.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial Monday, December 21, 2015 at 10:00 AM in St. Mary’s Church, 330 Wood Street, Bristol. Burial will follow in the RI Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Exeter, RI. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted.
