Obituary: John W. Barber, 65

John W. Barber, 65 of Warren, died Saturday April 2, 2016 at Southpointe Rehabilitation in Fall River.

He was born in Fall River a son of the late Edmund J. and Mildred M. (Hibbert) Barber Sr.

John was a retired owner of Heritage Remodeling.

He was a US Navy Veteran.

Mr. Barber was a lifelong resident of Warren and Swansea, he was a graduate of Joseph Case High School in Swansea, and also enjoyed boating.

He is survived by his daughter Lisa M. Taylor and her husband Christopher and grandson Colton of Barrington, RI, a brother Edmund J. Barber Jr. and his wife Annette of Warren, RI, a sister Susan J. Alford and her husband Robert of Swansea, and his former wife Donna M. Barber.

He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

His funeral will be held Wednesday April 6, 2016 at 8:00am from the Smith Funeral and Memorial Services , 8 Schoolhouse Rd., Warren, with a mass of Christian Burial at 9:0am in St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 500 Metacom Ave., Warren, burial in St. Jean Baptiste Cemetery
