Obituary: Matthew Botelho, 91
Mr. Matthew A. Botelho, age 91 of Harrison Street, Bristol, died Tuesday, May 10, 2016 at his home, surrounded by his loving family.

Mr. Matthew A. Botelho, age 91 of Harrison Street, Bristol, died Tuesday, May 10, 2016 at his home, surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of the late Aielene V. (Goulart) Botelho who preceded him in death in 2001.
Born in Bristol and a lifelong resident, he was a son of the late Joseph and Mary Louisa (Cruz) Botelho. Matthew was a custodian for Roger Williams University for a number of years, retiring in 1982. He was an outdoorsman, loved spending time hunting, fishing, working around his house, gardening and fixing lawnmowers. Matthew was an avid Boston Red Sox Fan. His greatest love was time spent with his family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He is survived by four children; Elaine V. Centazzo (Kenneth) of Mechanicsburg, PA, Matthew A. Botelho, Jr. (Debbie) of East Providence, Paul H. Botelho and Lisa M. Lawrence, both of Bristol, five grandchildren; Heath K. Centazzo (Renata), Alison L. Beck (Jared), Rachel S. Botelho (Kyle), Michael L. Donadio (Christine) and Victoria L. Donadio (Anthony) and five great grandchildren; Kendra, Bayleigh, Michael, Matthew and Caden. Also survived by two sisters; Mary Sylvester and Amelia Marabello, both of Bristol. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers; Arthur and Edward Botelho.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial, Monday, May 16, 2016 at 10:00 AM in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 141 State Street, Bristol. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Chestnut Street, Bristol. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted.
